Camping is a fun activity, but one cannot afford to get careless while going about it. Another thing that one must add to the 'take care of' list would be CO (carbon monoxide) poisoning, especially with the recent spate of camping accidents all revolving around the deadly gas.
In the latest of these camping incidents is the close shave with death that a family of 5, including 2 adults, had while camping at the Trevella Caravan Park at Crantock near Newquay. Their CO poisoning was caused by a barbeque carried out inside their poorly ventilated camping tent.
This adds to the list which also has a group of holidaymakers taken to hospital with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, a man found dead in his due to barbeque usage in tent and other such tragic camping mishaps.

The unchained fury of nature claimed its first victim in the Susquehanna Valley in the form of a campsite victim.
High speed gusts of wind led to the toppling of trees all aroung hurricane Irene and most campsites were no exception to this. However, things took a turn for the worse for Walter Bruder as the spot at a private campsite that he chose to have his tent on was unfortunate. Walter Bruder (58), his fiancee, Diane Hoffman, and 20 others were raising money for a local school and were fast asleep at their campsite when a tree fell on top of the couple. Walter died right away while Diane suffered a fractured skull and other injuries.
Earlier, the campsite had seemed safe and orderly and thus deemed fit for a night's camping.
