Camping in Yosemite National Park

The park is renowned for its special sights and huge sequoia trees, for its wonderful mountains and wildlife, being busy during summer and almost deserted in the winter, when temperatures are low. However, in winter you can practice seasonal sports, like ski, skating or sledging.
The park is enormous and you need several days to cover it. But there is a big accommodation diversity, from luxurious hotels to rustic huts, and for those who like adventure, camping is the ideal solution. Yosemite disposes of 13 camping places, like Lower Pines, White Wolf, Bridalveil Creek or Hodgon Meadow.
For fishing lovers, the rules of Yosemite National Park are settled by the state of California, which demand a license for sportive fishing. The park is also home for hundreds of bears, including black, omnivore ones. The park services have started an intense campaign of educating camping tourists regarding feeding wild animals and depositing food, in order to reduce incidents caused by bears.
